Cookie Policy

This policy explains which cookies are used on https://www.burtech.com.tr ("the Platform"), for what purposes, and how you can manage them. "Cookie" here also covers similar technologies such as browser local storage.

1. TYPES OF COOKIES

1.1. By purpose

a) Strictly necessary — required for the Platform to work and cannot be switched off in our systems: maintaining the session, submitting forms, carrying the language preference and remembering your privacy choice. You can configure your browser to block them, but parts of the site will then not work properly.

b) Functional — enable enhanced functionality and personalisation.

c) Performance (analytics) — help us measure and improve the Platform; the information they collect is anonymised.

d) Targeting / advertising — used to show interest-based advertising.

BURTECH currently uses no third-party advertising or targeting cookies on the Platform. Should that change, this policy will be updated, a separate category will be added to the cookie preferences, and such cookies will not run without your explicit consent.

1.2. By duration

• Session cookies are deleted when you close the browser.
• Persistent cookies are deleted on a set date or after a set period.

1.3. By party

• First-party cookies are placed directly by BURTECH.
• Third-party cookies are placed by service providers. At the payment step, the secure payment page (iFrame) of the payment institution PayTR runs and may set its own strictly necessary cookies for transaction security.

2. COOKIES USED ON THE PLATFORM

Location data is not a cookie. In the retail section, your browser's location permission is requested separately; your location is never stored on our servers.

3. LEGAL BASIS

Data collected through cookies is processed under Article 5 of KVKK on the following bases: necessity for the conclusion or performance of a contract (strictly necessary cookies); establishment, exercise or protection of a right (legal disputes and official requests); legitimate interest (performance and security of the Platform); and explicit consent (functional, performance and, where used, targeting cookies).

4. MANAGING COOKIES

4.1. Set your preference in the cookie notice shown on your first visit. Choosing "Decline" switches off non-essential cookies; you can continue to use the site.

4.2. To change your choice later, clear the site data in your browser to see the notice again, or write to info@burtech.com.tr.

4.3. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be managed, as they are essential to the operation of the site.

5. SECURITY

Data you send to the Platform is protected with SSL/TLS. Regular risk analyses are carried out, access and authorisation controls are enforced, and data-processing policies are reviewed periodically.

7. UPDATES

BURTECH reserves the right to update this Cookie Policy in line with changes in legislation.
